Job Opening: Senior Manager, Product Marketing
Springer Publishing is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager to lead our Product Marketing and Integrated Campaign initiatives across our Academic and Healthcare Institutional businesses. This role will oversee B2B marketing and be a central part of the success of our digital courseware and learning solutions used across higher education and healthcare institutions. You’ll develop and execute go-to-market strategies and multi-channel campaigns that build awareness, drive adoption, accelerate lead generation, and nurture closed won sales conversions across a range of B2B and institutional customer segments in nursing, behavioral and health sciences, and medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the marketing strategy and execution for Springer Publishing’s academic and institutional products, including digital learning platforms, curriculum-based solutions, online databases, and core reference content.
- Oversee messaging, value proposition development, customer segmentation, and competitive insights for products serving both higher education and healthcare organizations.
- Lead the product-focused marketers and freelancers, supporting go-to-market efforts across disciplines.
- Partner closely with Sales, Content, and Digital Solutions teams to ensure launch and promotional plans align with business goals.
- Build and execute full-funnel, omnichannel marketing campaigns—from brand awareness through lead generation and nurturing to conversion.
- Manage campaign calendars and product launch timelines across multiple internal teams and touchpoints.
- Plan, develop, and manage content marketing asset creation with special emphasis on the digital and short-form video content needed to actively acquire new quality leads across all marketing channels.
- Collaborate with Sales, Events, and Digital/Performance Marketing to support pipeline growth and account engagement.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, voice, and positioning across all customer-facing channels.
- Oversee email marketing strategy and deployment of the multi-touch, nurture campaigns through HubSpot, driving qualified leads and supporting sales enablement efforts.
- Develop workflows and communications aligned to audience segments, buyer journeys, and campaign goals.
- Collaborate with Sales to build and optimize all lead generation efforts and to constantly improve lead quality.
- Analyze campaign performance across top-, mid-, and bottom-funnel KPIs.
- Leverage insights to refine targeting, messaging, and channel strategy for greater ROI and lead quality.
- Track and record program results and create reports for internal stakeholders, analyzing metrics and identifying areas of opportunity.
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of marketing experience with a focus on product marketing, B2B marketing, or integrated campaigns—preferably within Academic, EdTech, or healthcare education.
- Proven success leading go-to-market plans for institutional or curriculum-based products.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a marketing team.
- Email marketing expertise, including hands-on usage of a marketing automation platform, Hubspot.
- Understanding of the buying process and buyer personas for higher education and healthcare markets
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Editorial teams.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms like HubSpot.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills, solve problems creatively, and display a high level of self-motivation with a sense of urgency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with the academic sales cycle, institutional adoption processes, or healthcare workforce education.
- Familiarity with email marketing automation, SEO, digital advertising, and content strategy.
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort using campaign performance data to inform decision-making.
