Job Opening: Director, Digital Product Strategy

We are seeking a creative and innovative Director of Digital Product Strategy to contribute to the advancement of Springer’s digital expansion.
Job purpose:
Reporting to the Vice President of Assessment and Digital Solutions, the Director of Digital Product Strategy will use their product and content expertise to develop strategy for educational solutions, digital tools, and curriculum to support learners from higher education through professional development. This role is responsible and accountable for defining user-centered, data-informed, and outcomes-focused product experiences and driving them through scalable and successful execution. This is an opportunity to drive innovation and deliver solutions that directly impact healthcare education and practice outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and own a holistic digital product strategy and roadmap to enable the creation and delivery of compelling user experiences across formats and markets.
- Conduct market and competitive analyses, analyze qualitative and quantitative data, gather customer feedback, and collaborate with stakeholders to inform the development and enhancement of digital products, courses, content, and assets (e.g., interactives, simulations, labs).
- Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication of vision and priorities to drive effective execution of strategy.
- Collaborate with technology teams to define platform requirements that support desired digital experiences.
- Identify and contract subject matter experts, designers, and vendor partners to bring vision to life.
- Ensure that project timelines, budgets, specs, and requirements are met and completed on time.
- Proactively highlight problems and risks, identifying scalable solutions that adhere to the overall strategy and vision.
- Establish and monitor core metrics and KPIs to demonstrate product–market fit and inform adjustments and enhancements.
- Stay updated on trends in healthcare education and workforce development, education technology, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in product strategy or management, content strategy, or related field
- Experience with education technology and digital product solutioning for learning management systems preferred
- Experience in nursing and/or other healthcare fields preferred
- Forward-thinking approach with the ability to anticipate market trends and drive innovation in learning solutions
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data to inform strategy and decision-making
- Crisp communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with non-technical and technical stakeholders
- Superior collaboration, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, including adapting to new challenges, scenarios, and working styles
- Proficiency in learning management systems, content management systems, and tools to assist day-to-day tasks and improve efficiency
Physical requirements:
- Ability to travel to corporate headquarters in Princeton, NJ, regularly and external meetings/conferences as required.
