10 Tips to Maximize your ExamPrepConnect University Solutions Trial

1. Let’s start with your homepage: Here your students will enter their exam date to activate a personalized study plan. Once a date is entered, you’ll see the countdown calendar populate along with customized study goals for today. Enter a date and get started on your first lesson!

TIP! Choose a date about six months out for a realistic experience.

TIP! Use the note, bookmark, and highlight tools in the lesson so you can see how they populate in the upper tabs for later reference!

2. Lessons: Early lessons include introductory information, be sure to visit the Table of Contents tab for a full lens of assignable content.

To move through the lessons, you must rate your confidence (you’ll see this data in your administrator dashboard once your students start moving through!). This feature helps students understand the areas they need to focus on most. 

3. Check out the Study Plan tab to see the structure of the plan, and points students can earn toward their daily goal by completing lessons.

4. Visit the Game Center and play a few (our favorite is Card Hunter!). Students love to try to make the leaderboard, which is also shown from the homepage to get a little competition going!

5. Visit the public discussion boards (remember, you’ll be able to create your own private boards as well!). Post a comment or answer a question from a real student working in ExamPrepConnect.

TIP! Try selecting one answer as "Yes", one as "No", and one as "Kinda".

6. Go to the Flashcards tab and click the cards to flip a few over, answer whether you got it right. Then click the filter button and see how students can focus on just one level of correctness as they move through their studies!

7. Visit the Practice section and review the dashboard which shows percentage of completion, statistics on answers, question categories, and reports by category. You can also note, bookmark, and highlight items in the questions to quickly return to in the upper tabs.

TIP! Make notes, bookmarks, and highlights within the exams to return to after completion. This helps students identify topics and thoughts they want to return to!

8. Visit the Exam section and take a timed practice test. When you’re done the exam visit the reports to see how you performed in each category—this is where data on your cohort becomes powerful and you can tailor your teaching to their unique needs- these reports are available in the practice section as well.

9. Click the coffee mug in the upper right corner and take a study break- we love these little “chill out” moments! While you’re in that corner you can also see messages about achievements and sync your product activity across devices.

10. Once you’ve completed lessons, practice questions, and exams, revisit the homepage to see how the view changed- look at the strengths and weaknesses section where the proficiency level is populated. See if you have established a percentile rank compared to other users, your average practice and exam scores, your top scores in the game center, and the achievements you’ve unlocked.
